Somerset

Somerset’s Craig Overton and Sophie Luff were honoured at the Professional Cricketers’ Association awards, with Overton taking the men’s player of the year and Luff becoming the inaugural women’s player of the year. Their achievements capped a strong season for Somerset, which reached the T20 Blast semi‑finals and saw Luff score over 1,000 runs across formats.

Somerset posted a dominant victory over Glamorgan, winning by an innings and 64 runs at Taunton. The win earned Somerset 23 points, keeping them in contention for their first County Championship title. Key bowlers Jack Leach, Craig Overton and Lewis Gregory each took three wickets to dismantle the Welsh side.
