Watford announced the free‑transfer signing of 36‑year‑old Jamaican international Michail Antonio, who joins the Hornets on a one‑year contract after training with the squad. The move comes as Watford look to strengthen their attack ahead of a Championship home game against Stoke City.

Watford have appointed Alessio Dionisi as head coach on a two-year contract. The 46-year-old Italian replaces Ed Still, who was sacked on 3 May after less than three months in charge at Vicarage Road.
