Laura Muir to Test 5,000m Distance at Glasgow Commonwealth Games

Scotland’s Laura Muir will run the 5,000m at the Glasgow Commonwealth Games to strengthen her endurance for future events like the 2028 Olympics. She previously won 1500m gold in 2022 but will compete in a longer distance this year. The Scottish team includes Sarah Calvert, Josh Kerr, and defending 10,000m champion Eilish McColgan.
