Rui Oliveira claimed his first professional road victory by winning the final stage of the Volta a Portugal in his hometown of Porto. He dedicated the win to the family of 19‑year‑old British rider Finlay Tarling, who died in an accident earlier in the race. The stage concluded with a sprint finish, while French rider Alexis Guerin secured the overall race win.
