Matt Fitzpatrick

England’s Matt Fitzpatrick claimed his fourth title of the year by winning the French Open at Le Golf National in Paris. He posted a one‑under‑par 70 to finish three shots ahead of Spain’s Angel Hidalgo, after leading by five shots entering the final round.

Matt Fitzpatrick, defending champion of the DP World Tour Championship, said he is not fully comfortable with traveling to Dubai for the season‑ending event because of safety concerns linked to the ongoing Middle‑East conflict. He suggested the tournament might be moved to another country while officials continue to assess the situation.
