Bethany Firth secured a bronze medal in the S14 200m freestyle at the Glasgow Commonwealth Games, her first major medal since giving birth. The presence of her two‑year‑old daughter Charlotte in the crowd motivated her to overcome a mental battle and finish on the podium.

Six-time Paralympic champion Bethany Firth set a new S14 100m backstroke world record at the Dutch National Championships in Eindhoven, improving her own record by 0.03 seconds. The achievement secured her funding for the upcoming season and positions her for the 2028 LA Paralympics. Firth will next compete at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow.
