World number one Aryna Sabalenka secured a commanding straight-set victory over Serbian qualifier Teodora Kostovic in the first round of Wimbledon 2026. The match marked Sabalenka’s opening campaign at the SW19 venue.

Aryna Sabalenka fought back from a set and 4-0 down to beat Nikola Bartunkova 2-6 7-6 (7-2) 6-4 and reach the Berlin Open semi-finals. She will face Jessica Pegula for a place in the final.
