Tottenham Hotspur have agreed to send goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario to Juventus on loan, with the Serie A giants holding a non-mandatory £8.6 million purchase option to make the deal permanent.
The 29-year-old Italy international has fallen down the pecking order at Spurs under manager Roberto de Zerbi, who has reshuffled the club’s goalkeeping options in recent weeks. De Zerbi has promoted academy product Antonin Kinsky and brought in experienced backup Martin Dubravka to challenge for the number one shirt, leaving Vicario surplus to requirements.

The loan move represents a significant change for Vicario, who joined Tottenham in a permanent transfer and has been a regular fixture between the sticks.
